JoeTo
JoeTo – Where It All Began
Back when I was still in school, Tom and I started the duo JoeTo. Back then, we worked together as a producer team to create our own tracks. In addition to co-producing, I focused on recording guitars, sound design, camera work, and video editing, while Tom shone as the lead singer behind the mic. From pop to ’80s sounds, we created everything back then in our self-built bunker studio in Munich. It was a time that had a huge impact on me and helped me grow.

Hi, ich bin JoeBe
My journey into music actually began on my smartphone: As a kid, I spent hours mixing loops together in simple apps. That initial dabbling quickly turned into genuine enthusiasm—first on my dad’s old laptop using free software, and later in my very first studio: Together, my dad and I transformed an old Munich air-raid shelter into a studio, where JoeTo was eventually created.
Because sound always conjures up images in my mind, I started producing my own music videos for our first songs, which is how I also got into the world of film. Today, I combine both: I’m studying music production and working on projects where the focus is on music, but video and film still play a role.
